Iffley Road boasts amazing imagery, as is to be expected with a brand that spends the majority of their time outdoors. When I took on their redesign in 2015, I wanted to really use these images to their advantage, so the home page is built around this, with a full width carousel and image-based promos.
The carousel also has the functionality to show video content.
The product range is rather extensive, with an array of colour options, which the client wanted to be displayed on one single page. This meant finding a design that would allow for each item to be viewed comfortably on a number of devices, while not (for example) making users have to scroll for ages in mobile!
The product pages feature a tabbed interface to allow Iffley Road to display a large amount of content while using the space wisely. Iffley are big fans of showing off their design diagrams for each item. And, of course, sizing charts are essential for a premium exercise clothing brand.
We also took a very visual style with the main content pages, such as the above “Our Story” hub, detailing the history of Iffley Road, an in-depth look at their products and lists of stockists and press pieces highlighting the brand.
Of course, the site is completely responsive to allow customers to shop on the go.
