Mission Montgomery

Olympic Skeleton Gold Medallist Jon Montgomery is a bit of a legend in Canada – he won the first Gold medal of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, then proceeded to drink a lot of beer in the street.

This project turned out to be three sites in one!

My former employer, Twist Marketing, sponsored skeleton athlete Jon Montgomery since before he won Gold at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in 2010. Following his win, he needed a site refresh.

He and Darla Montgomery, also a skeleton racer, also wanted to focus on their goal of becoming the first married couple to win Gold medals in the same sport.

mm3So, we created three sites: an individual one for each respective athlete and a joined one for their stories and events as a couple.

I was responsible for both the design, development and CMS implementation of this site.

Note: The Mission Montgomery 2 logo was created by another designer.

A Bit About Me

I am Aisling1: a designer of many mediums, although my passion lies in web design and front end development.

I am Canadian, currently based in Brighton, England.

I got my start as a preteen who wanted to make her blog look pretty, and here I am, 16 years later, with a post secondary education in New Media Production & Design and several years of agency experience in my repertoire.

When I am not designing, I enjoy travelling to big cities or tiny islands, baking gluten free treats and taking photos. You can see these things in action on my blog, Anthologie.
