A Mood Board for the New Year

December 28, 2018  •  ,

Since 2019 will be a year of big changes, I thought I’d kick everything off with a little mood board for the new year.

This is missing a few big changes which I haven’t finalised yet, so it’s more about how I want the year to feel in general.

Obviously, as I am starting a new job, my big focus will be my career. I’m taking things in a slightly different direction, so I will be spending a lot of time honing my skills and picking up new ones.

I also want to spend more time being creative. I have neglected my Instagram lately and taking photos is one of my favourite things. So I’m looking forward to picking up one of (or all 3) of my camera(s) again. I want to spend more time working on projects and less time scrolling mindlessly.

The quote in the image says “let your dream be bigger than your fears.” I want this year to be about making big sacrifices in order to accomplish goals and reach milestones. I want to put my whole heart into everything I do. I want to conquer my tendency to procrastinate once and for all.

And, as always, I want things to be as cozy and comfortable as possible. Some of the changes that are brewing will involve being physically outside of my comfort zone. This will be a necessary sacrifice, but I want to make the best of it, stay as true to myself as I can, and try to build a space around myself that feels like my own.
